Reblogging again, to remind everyone to take part in this.
This is actually really clever and a very good idea.
You can always buy your books, music and DVDs from secondhand/thrift/charity shops, because none of that money will go back to the corporations. Or take the opportunity to swap what you already have with your friends.
(I hope enough people could participate in this to actually make a noticeable difference, but my cynicism level is too high.)
